Tomate la huerta is an agronomical engineer as well as a teacher on this beautiful adventure that advocates respect for the environment and our health. In March of 2013 we began to cultivate organic horticultural species in the region north of Madrid (Patones), on the banks of the river Jarama.
Responsible consumption and the recovery of a popular wisdom ever distant from our reality is what inspired us to bring the product closer to the consumers, to become conscious, and to educate our youngest about the fundamentals of agroecology, fair trade and economic sustainability.
We are listed under the Comité de AgriculturaEcológica de Madrid (CAEM), which ensures that our agricultural practices are organic. To ensure this, our production respects the balance of our surroundings. We avoid possible plagues with natural treatments, maintaining the diversity of existing organisms and properlymanaging our soil.
